Who We Are

In 2001, Attorney Lori M. Comforti established the Law Office of Lori M. Comforti, LLC in Norwich, Connecticut, building a practice dedicated to representing injured individuals with care and determination. The firm originally operated from Sachem Street, where it began developing its strong foundation in workers’ compensation and personal injury law.

In 2026, the firm relocated to 55 Main Street, Suite 480, within the Mercantile Exchange at Chelsea Harbor. This new location places the office directly next to the Norwich Workers’ Compensation Office, reinforcing its continued focus and accessibility for clients navigating workplace injury claims.

Today, the firm remains committed to handling workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation, providing focused legal support to individuals seeking fair outcomes after accidents and workplace injuries.

Lori M. Comforti

Attorney Comforti graduated from The University of Rhode Island in 1985 with a B.A. in English. She immediately went on to law school at The New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1988. Following law school, she returned to the Norwich area and obtained employment with the law firm of Carl D. Anderson & Associates, currently known as Anderson Law Offices, where she practiced for 13 years in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation.

In 2001, she opened her own law firm known as the Law Office of Lori M. Comforti, LLC, in Norwich. Since 2001, she has continued to concentrate her practice in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation. Attorney Comforti represents workers who are injured while working for various employers in Connecticut and at the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos.

Attorney Comforti and her experienced paralegals are versed in all areas of workers’ compensation law as it is practiced in the State and Tribal courts. Additionally, Attorney Comforti represents injured victims of motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, dog bites, and wrongful death. She and her experienced staff handle all phases of these cases from initial client interview to trial. Attorney Comforti serves as an arbitrator of personal injury matters in the New London Superior Court.

Attorney Comforti is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, New London County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut State and Appellate Courts, State of Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission, Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Workers’ Compensation Commission, and the Mohegan Sun Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Attorney Comforti is the chairperson for the Montville Juvenile Review Board. She is a certified group fitness trainer teaching classes in Norwich and Groton. Attorney Comforti resides in Oakdale. She is a devoted Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoys exercise, skiing, and spending time with her children and beloved dogs Jack and Brady.
